We have lots of photographers here. Let's get together and conquer the world!
Photography is Photography! We don't care if you shoot with a dSLR, drone, cell phone or a homemade pinhole camera. It's all good.
What content we allow here:
* Your own work, either to show or for feedback
* Links and resources
* Requests for help figuring out how to get certain looks, do certain techniques.
* Requests for interactions. Asking 'like my Instagrams' is usually a social faux pas, but let's be real about how the internet works these days. With algorithms rule everything. People can't find your context even if they are looking for it unless you have social media savvy friends. Tumblr will straight up hide your account if you don't have enough interactions. We can wish that the rest of the world wide web worked like Dreamwidth, but it doesn't. If you need help getting established or getting views, let's all help each other. Just space out your requests and only ask when you've got new content up.
If interactions requests becomes a big part of the comm, we may start putting them in weekly round up posts.
* Discussions about photography related topics, from the problems of image hosting to breaking through in various platforms.
What we don't allow here:
* Posting other people's images. All work must be your own.
* Repost whole articles. Making the equivalent of a fetched preview is a fine, but let's actually give clicks to people making content rather than scooping it up and reposting it.
